More robots doesn't equal more productivity.
This month, VP of Ocado Mobile Robot Systems, @[Mike Harris](urn:li:person:vJpspugprV), shares with @[Logistics Business Magazine](urn:li:person:Bvgi3TjanS) why the next warehouse advantage will come from orchestrated decision making, not bigger fleets.
Task execution alone isn't enough and a robot that picks faster doesn't help if the pallet it needs is still waiting at the dock, or if associates are stuck reconciling activity across disconnected systems. Real productivity comes from intelligent orchestration, connecting people, robots, tasks and workflows so the whole operation moves as one.
The winners in the next era of fulfilment won't be the businesses with the most robots, they'll be the ones whose systems make the best decisions.
