
This morning, Ocado Group CEO Tim Steiner spoke at @[The Consumer Goods Forum](urn:li:organization:739771) Global Summit in Amsterdam about Ocado's approach to deploying AI and robotics in different ways across our value chain. Tim discussed the need to avoid a mindset of deploying clever tech for sake of itself, and to have a clear view of the specific challenges you want to solve with new and emerging technologies.
For Ocado, wherever we develop and deploy new AI or robotics into our value chain, whether that's waste reduction through improved forecasting, digital twins for warehouse operations, or robotic picking technologies, the end goal is always clear - to enable cost domination in online grocery.
